Reached the Kahului airport after a long long flight. It was a really small airport and the air was warm. It was already around 6:00pm when we landed. Headed towards the car rental to get our car from them. The lady there talked us into getting a Mustang convertible instead of the regular compact car. We suckers fell for it and drove away in it.

Reached our hotel premises “Kamaole Sands”. We could not see the ocean as it was dark already. The sky was clear and it was warm. We checked into our condo. We had rented a 1 bedroom furnished condo for the week – complete with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, lanai – the whole nine yards! It was a beautiful place and we immediately felt at home and tucked in. We were already sleepy by the time we finished dinner as we were still on Chicago time – 4 hours ahead of Hawaii and went to bed.
